Potholing

Potholing should be carried out when excavating within 1.0m of mechanical locations of our network.  Hand digging techniques should be employed until the cable has been physically located. 

If excavating along the length of a cable, potholing should be carried out at intervals within 1m of the mechanical locations over the excavation route.
